Attendees are encouraged to attend all four sessions to embark upon this journey of learning together. \n\nPart 1: Embarking on a Journey: Where Have We Been?\nMonday\, June 5\, 1-3 p.m. ET \nThis webinar is Part 1 of a 4-Part Pride Month series: Walking with Tribal Youth on Their Sacred Journey. This session will provide foundational knowledge that will prepare participants for their learning over the four-week series. Presenters will discuss historical context and the impacts of colonization on Two-Spirit people. Prior to colonization\, Two-Spirit young people coming out were celebrated\, and they played important roles in Native communities. With colonization came harmful attitudes and views of Two-Spirit people. Differences in terminology between western terms and those used in various tribal communities will also be addressed. The session will begin and end with a breathing exercise and acknowledgment of attendees tending to their own spirit. SUMMARY:Monitoring Contracts and Subrecipients
DESCRIPTION:This webinar will begin with a discussion of the difference between a recipient\, a subrecipient\, and a contractor and the elements of subrecipient agreements\, subawards and contracts. The faculty will review the Uniform Guidance and the requirements outlined in this document with regards to the recipient/subrecipient relationship and the necessary monitoring processes. This presentation will discuss the pre-award screening process and risk assessments to be performed prior to entering into an agreement\, as well as the routine monitoring processes needed to ensure continued compliance. The presentation will discuss the corrective action process and strategies for recipients to partner with subrecipients to address compliance. SUMMARY:Budgeting and Maximizing Program Income
DESCRIPTION:This webinar will start with a review of program income requirements. The faculty will discuss the definition of program income\, sources of program income\, and the allowable and unallowable uses or program income in accordance with the Uniform Guidance and Ryan White HIV/AIDS Program (RWHAP) programmatic and legislative requirements. The presentation will cover the recipient/subrecipient relationship as it relates to program income and the monitoring requirements for tracking and spending program income funds. The faculty will utilize case studies to identify sources of program income and methods for tracking and allocating program income\, particularly from multiple funding streams.
