DESCRIPTION:¡NMAC se complace en anunciar nuestra colaboración con Howard Brown Health (HBH) para la próxima iniciativa de capacitación “ELEVATE en español!” \nEn Howard Brown Health\, brindan atención que respeta y valora a las personas tal como son. Su personal está dedicado a ayudar a los clientes a vivir su mejor vida. Desde pediatría hasta geriatría\, HBH brinda atención experta a la comunidad LGBTQ+ y sus aliados\, sin importar su capacidad de pago. \nNMAC y HBH se unen para ofrecer capacitaciones de desarrollo de capacidad completamente en español para personas que viven con el VIH y proveedores de servicios que respaldan a personas que viven con el VIH y su comunidad\, principalmente en Chicago. Their staff is dedicated to helping clients live their best life. From pediatrics to geriatrics\, HBH provides expert care to the LGBTQ+ community and their allies\, regardless of their ability to pay. \nNMAC and HBH are teaming up to deliver capacity building trainings fully in Spanish for individuals living with HIV and service providers supporting people living with HIV and their community\, mainly in Chicago. SUMMARY:Non-Occupational Post-Exposure Prophylaxis (nPEP) to Prevent HIV Infection: Essentials for Maryland Providers
DESCRIPTION:Non-Occupational Post-Exposure Prophylaxis (nPEP) for HIV prevention is the use of antiretroviral drugs as soon as possible after a high-risk exposure to HIV. Increasing awareness of and access to nPEP leads to fewer HIV diagnoses and is an important strategy for Ending the HIV Epidemic. \nJoin Alive! Maryland\, led by HealthHIV\, on Tuesday\, September 26\, 2023 at 1:30pm Eastern for a webinar that will cover key elements regarding Non-Occupational Post-Exposure Prophylaxis (nPEP) management. The faculty also will review the accompanying Alive! Maryland nPEP toolkit for Maryland providers. \nLearning Objectives\nAt the end of this webinar\, you will be able to: \n\nDescribe three indications for nPEP use.\nIdentify the key baseline and follow-up clinical/laboratory assessments for nPEP.\nExplain when and how to prescribe nPEP to PrEP.\nRecognize three accompanying aids contained in the Alive! Maryland nPEP toolkit to facilitate prescription of nPEP.\n\nContinuing education credits are available for this webinar\, pending accreditation.
