STI Intensive 3-Day Course

The STD/HIV Prevention Training Center at Johns Hopkins invites you to increase your knowledge about Sexually Transmitted Infections (STIs) through an STI Intensive Course, October 3–5, 2022.
Presentations emphasize HIV/AIDS, other STIs and associated syndromes.
Objectives include:
1. Identify the sites from which specimens should be obtained.
2. Discuss STI Diagnosis.
3. Describe the management of STIs.
4. Describe the role of the disease intervention specialist (DIS) in STI control.
5. Describe the importance of interprofessional collaboration in health department and private practice regarding STIs.
This training is sponsored by the STD/HIV Prevention Training Center at Johns Hopkins, co-sponsored with Virginia HIV/AIDS Resource and Consultation Center and Virginia Department of Health.
The full 3-day course registration is limited to 45 full-time participants.
Continuing education is provided. Continuing education credit will only be awarded to participants who attend the entire program. All participants must pass the posttest in order to receive any credit.
Target Audience:
Physicians, nurse practitioners, nurse midwives, physician assistants, nurse clinicians, and registered nurses working in STD, Family Planning, and other primary care clinics in both public and private settings, Trauma Centers, Acute Care clinics, and Clinicians that examine patients.
