Faculty

Yelitza Lemoine is the Prevention Director at CAN Community Health. She previously served as the Chair for the Regional HIV/AIDS Committee and the Statewide Latino AIDS Coordinator for the Florida Department of Health. In addition, she previously served as the Chair of the Florida AIDS Advisory Group.

In her multiple roles, Ms. Lemoine has incorporated several high-impact strategies that were highly effective in reaching high-risk populations such as Hispanic/Latino and Haitian populations and other minorities. During the pandemic, she was responsible for the creation and implementation of new strategies such as Online Prevention and Home Testing Kit Distribution among others.  She recognizes that the at-risk populations have difficulty accessing HIV prevention and care services. However, she firmly believes that through community efforts, everyone can make positive changes in our society to improve inclusion and equality for the members of the community.
